PICKUP AT OUR FARM IN ASPERS PA ONLY. WE DO NOT SHIP EMU CHICKS.  

• If you are in need of transport, please contact us PRIOR to placing your order and we can provide a transport persons contact information so that you can obtain a quote from them based on your zip code.

• At 1 1/2 - 2 weeks of age the emu chicks will be approximately 12"-15" tall at the top of their heads when fully stretched and standing. At 3 weeks of age, they will be about 15-18" tall when fully stretched, so please bring a carrier, crate or large box that will allow them to stand and not be able to jump out of the box. A thick layer of large flake pine shavings (5") or a thick piece of carpet or thick non slip rug should be placed in the bottom. A towel or blanket to cover the carrier/crate/box will help to keep them calm on their trip.

• Your emu chicks will come with a 3 page care and instruction sheet, a small bag of starter food and a bag of mixed greens, the eggshell from which the chick hatched and ID number, and of course we are always available via email for any questions that you may have about your emus for the life of your emus. 

• Due to the recent national Avian Influenza outbreak and to protect our farm, emus and poultry, we ask that you please sanitize your shoes prior to coming for your emu chicks.  We will also ask that you sanitize your shoes in our foot bath that we provide as soon as you arrive.  Thank you for understanding and helping to protect our emus and poultry!

• Your order reserves your emu chick(s) to pickup in the time frame listed above (which is based on the emu chick being 2-3 weeks old).  Payment is NOT required at the time of ordering.  If you would like to pay via Cash, Money Order, Credit Card, Debit Card, Paypal or Venmo at PICKUP, please choose the "CASH/money order" option at checkout.  

• Please contact me within 24 hours of ordering to setup your pickup day/time (otherwise your order will be cancelled and the emu chicks will be relisted).  We are available 7 days a week for pickups by appointment and can be flexible with pickup times if you need to travel.  The actual sale occurs upon pickup of your emu chick and signing the Sales Agreement.

• If you are wanting more than one emu chick or multiple selections of emu chicks by gender and colors, PLEASE DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER for a single emu chick and ask us to hold it until the rest of your selections hatch.  We simply cannot hold chicks as we never know what will hatch.  Instead, you will need to watch availability and ONLY ORDER when we have all of your selections available.  I reserve the right to cancel an order immediately if you order and ask me to hold a chick(s) until more hatch.
